Usually during my off season as a New York City & Brooklyn wedding photographer I would continue to shoot other things besides weddings. Since early Spring it’s still a bit too cold for a wedding, I’ll usually go out and shoot stuff like landscapes or street photography. But this year a brisk of warm weather has made the cherry blossom trees in the New York/New Jersey area bloom early. I heard Branch Brook Park in New Jersey was pretty nice so a road trip was planned and this was what I shot…

Gallery Wrapped Canvas

From time to time brides & other clients have often asked how and what can they mount their nice photos onto. They usually have a tough choice of choosing between the traditional frames or the style of frames but I offer an alternative – gallery wrapped canvas.

What is a gallery wrapped canvas?

It is a high quality print on an artist’s canvas.
The canvas is stretched over custom-made wood stretcher bars.
It is available in any size with a depth of 1.5″ or 2.5″.

What’s so cool about gallery wrapped canvases?

Canvases make a bold statement.
They appear to float on your wall.
They don’t need a frame; the structure is inside the art.

They’re definitely different than the traditional frame & glass mounts. They bring a contemporary edge and a frameless presentation to your wedding photographs.Plus they’re much safer to be hung around just in case there is a child in the house. There are no glass to be broken at all!

For weddings and other events, I would suggest a signature canvas. Guests can add their own messages around an image for a unique and inexpensive keepsake.

Remember me talking about refreshing everything in 2012? Well here is a start. Took a while to design this but it’s finally done!

Presenting my new business cards for 2012! These cards represent one of my card products – Save the Date, Engagement, Thank You, Greeting, etc and comes in many different sizes and finishes. Think of it as a sample of my product as I hand out my card to you. Pretty cool huh? Plus I can have them come in different sizes too!

MTA Vintage Holiday Train

Every year right after Thanksgiving the MTA New York City Transit takes it’s vintage train out of storage to give a chance for riders to experience something nostalgic. It runs every weekend on Saturday only between Second Avenue in Manhattan and Queens Plaza in Queens. The trains usually scheduled to run every 50 mins so be sure to check their website for the times.

So let’s take a trip down memory lane on the MTA New York City Transit’s “Nostalgia Shoppers’ Special Train”! All aboooooaaaaard!
