FAQ

‘There”s probably a lot of questions you would want to ask but didn”t have the time to send me an email? Well, I”ve listed a few below just to help get you started. Feel free to contact me if you have other questions other than the ones below.

How would you identify your photographic style?

We shoot mostly photojournalistic and a little bit of traditional. We have been called “ninja” photographers as we are rarely seen hovering around the bride & groom. It”s their day so we make sure the friends and relatives get to see them instead of us.

Do you offer special techniques such as hand-coloring or toning?

We rarely do any Photoshop retouching. We do enhance the colors a bit and also conversions to B&W/Sepia depending on the overall style and feel.

Do you have experience shooting in various lighting situations?

We are experienced in all types of lighting although we prefer not to use flash as much as possible.

Is your media preference film or digital?

We are all digital. Go Green!

How many photographers do you work with?

We have two photographers: One for small weddings, Two for larger weddings  Of course additional fees would apply for the second photographer.

Do you guarantee your presence at the actual event?

Why of course.

Do you sometimes book yourself for more than one wedding in a day? Weekend?

No. We can book only one wedding in a day or a weekend. We want to capture the bride & groom as much as possible.

Do you have a replacement photographer in case you become unavailable on the wedding day?

Yes. The replacement photographer will be chosen and reviewed by me prior to the actual event.

Do you charge hourly or full day?

The prices include the full day (8 hours) as well as the consultation prior to making the final booking. This also include time & equipment spent during the whole process such as edits to the final delivery of your product(s).

Do you require a meal break? If yes, do you require that the wedding party provide your meal?

We normally don”t ask for a meal break but we”ll try to take a short break if necessary.

Do you charge for travel?

Yes. The charges will only be for the travel expenses such as transportation, etc.

How soon after the event are the proofs ready for viewing?

Proofs will be available in 3-4 weeks after the event.

In what format are the initial proofs offered?

Proofs will be available on contact sheets that are downloadable PDF files via a website link

How long can the couple keep the proofs?

The couple can keep the proofs as they are in low resolution and watermarked.

Do you retain the copyright for the photos?

We retain the copyright of all photos taken by us. The client may have an unlimited license in where they can produce their own prints without our consent.

Do you reserve the right to publish the photos?

Only if our photos are to be used in commercial print or publishing, we must give permission in writing to do so.

Do you provide the digital files and/or negatives (or copies of the negatives) to the couple?

We provide the digital files/negatives to the couple on a DVD. Prints are made only at the Client”s request at a additional fee. Why don”t we provide prints?  Because we want the Client to have the freedom to print at their own convenience. They may print as many as they want without restrictions.

Will images be available for viewing on an online gallery?

Yes, this will be in the form of a Flash slideshow accompanied by music. The client mini-site will be available online for up to 12 months.

What kind of albums do you offer?

We offer many types of albums. The types of albums can be discussed depending on the couple”s needs.

What is required to book a date?

To book your event date, I ask for a retainer fee and a signed contract. The remaining balance due 30 days before the wedding. Booking dates are limited for each week, so please contact us to check our current availability for your date.
